Mark A. Ellis, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and held in the hearts of those who knew him well. Mark was 69 years old. Born in Camden, New Jersey, on July 15, 1956, Mark was the beloved son of Melvin and Dorothy Ellis, who predeceased him and welcomed him into eternity with open arms. He was known for his generous spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. Mark's life was a testament to resilience, strength, and love. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. Surviving Mark are his three grandsons, Caiden Butler, Liam Butler, and Luke Gantt-Cato, who brought immense joy to his life and were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his dear sisters, Marilyn and Juliet, and his supportive brothers, Danny, Michael (and his wife Sherrie), Philip (and his wife Pam), and Eric, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Mark's life was further enriched by the love and support of his extended family, including Mark Harris, Sara Ahart, and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His bond with each of them was unique and profound, and he leaves behind a tapestry of memories that will be treasured forever. Mark's journey through life was marked by his passion for helping others, his love of family, and his unwavering faith. He was a man who found beauty in simplicity and cherished the moments spent with loved ones. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched. The family expresses their deepest gratitude to those who supported Mark throughout his illness, offering love, care, and companionship.
