Mark A. Duman

Mark A. Duman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 5, 2026, at his home. Born on October 9, 1952, in Akron, Colorado, Mark was the cherished son of Dominic and Patricia Duman. He was predeceased by his loving parents and his brothers, Terry and Luie Duman. Mark was a man of integrity and dedication, whose life was a testament to the values he held dear. After graduating from Prairie High School in Cottonwood, Idaho in 1970, he joined the Army, proudly serving his country. Following his military service, Mark returned to Cottonwood, Idaho, where he laid down roots. In 1980, Mark married the love of his life, Sandy, in Pierce, Idaho. Together, they celebrated 46 wonderful years of marriage. Their union was blessed with a son, Jesse, who became the center of their world. Mark was further blessed with three grandchildren, Claytin, Maverik and Shania Bronkhorst brought immense joy to his life. Mark's professional journey was marked by hard work and an unwavering commitment to excellence. He spent 18 years working in the woods for various companies before establishing his own logging business on the Cottonwood Butte. His dedication and meticulous attention to detail were evident in every aspect of his work. In 2006, after years in the logging industry, Mark transitioned to a career in postal delivery, continuing his legacy of service and dedication. A man of varied interests, Mark found joy in the simplicity of nature and the satisfaction of a day's hard work. Even after retiring from the logging industry, he continued to work for himself in a delivery business, embodying a work ethic that inspired all who knew him. Mark is survived by his devoted wife, Sandy; his son, Jesse; his grandchildren, Claytin and Maverik; and his siblings, Randy ( Mary Duman), Rita (Greg Ghalager) , and Maria (Randy Heath). He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched with his kindness and generosity. A service to honor and celebrate Mark's life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the VFW, located at 1104 Warner Ave., Lewiston, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mark's memory to a charity of your choice. Mark A. Duman's legacy of love, hard work, and kindness, and good humor will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a world made better by his presence and a family grateful for the time they shared with him.
