Mark A. Davenport II

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mark A. Davenport II, a cherished husband, devoted father, beloved son and brother, and dear friend. Mark left this world peacefully on October 20, 2025, after a valiant battle with lung cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born in Troy, New York, on March 27, 1977. He was the son of Mark A. Davenport Sr. and Robin Bushnell Davenport Pettit. He is also survived by his devoted wife, Megan (Hall) Davenport, and his three wonderful children, Alex P. Davenport (mother Lisa A. Jones), Bailey E. Davenport, and Jameson T. Davenport, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Todd M. (Destiny) Davenport, Jennifer LR. (Michael) Martin, and Jesse Davenport, as well as his stepfather, James S. Pettit, Nephew Clayton and Niece Penelopy Davenport. Also several aunts, unclea, and cousins. He was blessed with a loving family. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Thomas and Eugenia (Decker) Bushnell, and George and Carol (Gaylord) Davenport, whose memories he held dear. A service to celebrate Mark's life will be held on October 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mount Hope Cemetery, located on Fordsbush Road in Fordsbush, Town of Minden, New York. Family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by Mark are invited to gather and honor his memory. As we bid farewell to Mark, we hold onto the precious memories and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. Though he may be gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts.
