Marjorie Ann (Kaiser) Deines

April 23, 1947 — October 23, 2026

Marjorie Ann Deines, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2026. Born on April 23, 1947, in Mobridge, South Dakota. Marjorie brought warmth and kindness to all who knew her. Adopted and raised by Herb and Ann Kaiser, Marjorie's journey through life was one of resilience, dedication, and love. Marjorie shared a beautiful marriage with her late husband, Richard Allen Deines, whom she wed on July 20, 1968. Together they welcomed three wonderful children into the world. Tragically, Richard passed away in an accident on July 18, 1977, leaving Marjorie to bravely raise their children as a devoted single parent. Her selflessness and unwavering commitment to her family ensured that Tracy, Darcy, and Wade grew up with every need met and every dream nurtured. A graduate of Yankton High School in 1966, Marjorie furthered her education at a business school in Minneapolis. Her career as an administrative staff member at several medical clinics and hospitals in Iowa and South Dakota reflected her dedication to helping others and her ability to bring order and compassion to every role she undertook. Marjorie's life was rich with simple pleasures, and she found joy in attending craft shows, engaging in craft projects, and dancing. Her happiest moments were spent in the kitchen baking with her grandchildren, creating not just delicious treats, but cherished memories. She is survived by her loving children: Tracy (Stan) Osgood of Adel, Iowa; Darcy Deines of Stromsburg, Nebraska; and Wade (Jen) Deines of Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Dakota and Carley Osgood; Michaela and Taylor Rystrom; Jillian (Nathan) Goldsberry; and Ella Deines, as well as her great-grandchildren: Kwincee Osgood, and Warren and Truce Goldsberry; and her brother and sister-in-law: James “Jim” and Brenda Deines. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Richard, her parents Herb and Ann Kaiser, her in-laws Leo and Vesta “Betty” Deines, her sister Bernice Burg, her brothers-in-law James “Jim” Burg and James “Jim” Poulos, and her sister-in-law Julie Poulos. The family will gather at a later date in Ellsworth, Kansas to join Marjorie and Richard together in a private interment. In celebration of Marjorie's life, her family suggests memorial donations be made in her honor to a charity close to your heart. Marjorie's spirit will forever be remembered and cherished by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
