Born on September 7, 1978, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Marisa lived a life filled with love, compassion, and a pursuit of knowledge and the arts. Marisa was the cherished daughter of Thomas Berseth and Suzanne (Knitter) Berseth. Marisa's vocational journey also saw her completing her apprenticeship as a beautician and serving her community, always ready to uplift those around her with her quick wit and caring nature. Music was the poetic backdrop of Marisa's life. From her early days playing the clarinet in high school, she blossomed into a lifelong enthusiast of the arts. She was a member of the Chippewa Valley Symphony and spent summers at the Shell Lake music camp. Marisa's love for travel and music intertwined beautifully during her trip to Europe with fellow musicians, where she fondly recalled the magical experience of listening to the gentle symphony of cowbells from a hotel balcony in Switzerland. Animals found a gentle and loving caretaker in Marisa, who was known for providing a warm home to beautiful exotic birds and her cherished Persian and Himalayan cats. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Meadowbrook and St. Croix Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion, as well as to Marisa's friends, who enriched her life beyond measure. Marisa's radiant spirit and boundless love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, wit, and an unwavering love for the arts and all living beings. Her presence will be dearly missed, but her memory will continue to inspire and bring joy to all who were fortunate enough to know her. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
