Marion Helen (Kress) (Kluesener) Breen

August 15, 1928 — April 4, 2026

Marion Helen (Kress) (Kluesener) Breen, a loving soul who touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, at the age of 97, after a period of failing health. Born on August 15, 1928, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Marion was the beloved daughter of Wilfred and Elsie Kress. Marion was a beacon of warmth and care, attributes that were evident in her lifelong career as a nurse. After graduating from Cambridge City Hospital with her RN, she dedicated herself to long-term care, spending most of her career at Edgewood Center in Portsmouth, NH. Her gentle touch and compassionate nature brought comfort to countless patients and their families over the years. Marion was first married to George Kluesener in 1950, and together they built a family until his passing in 1972. In 1987, she found love again with Robert Breen, with whom she shared nearly three decades of companionship until his passing in 2016. Marion was predeceased by her cherished daughter Karen McGee, alongside her first husband George, second husband Robert, and her parents and siblings. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through her surviving daughters, Robin Moulton and Susan Bowser, who carry forward her spirit with grace. Marion was a proud grandmother to Scott, Ali, Lucas, Emily, and Nicholas, and a doting great-grandmother to Kalleigh, Sophia, Grace, Lincoln, Josephine, Rudy, Bennett, and Caleb. She also leaves behind a cherished extended family, including stepchildren Melonie, Chris, Robin, Deborah, and Robert, along with many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Marion's life was filled with simple joys that brought her immense happiness. She treasured Saturday morning coffee gatherings with her daughters, sister-in-law, and granddaughters, complete with popcorn, chips, dip, and the occasional pastry. Her laughter echoed through the room as she enjoyed playing bingo and watching the performances of 3 Shades of Gray at her residence. Those who knew Marion will remember her as a loving, kind, and gentle soul. Her warmth extended beyond her family, touching the hearts of all who crossed her path. A service to honor Marion's life will be held on April 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, located at 655 Central Ave, Dover, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Heart Fund in Marion's memory. Marion Helen Breen's legacy is one of love and compassion, and her memory will forever be a guiding light for those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.
