It is with profound sadness and tender hearts that we announce the passing of Mario Junior Sobalvarro, a beloved son, cherished grandson, and vibrant spirit, who departed from this world far too soon on April 9, 2026, at the tender age of seven. Born on February 1, 2019, in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, Mario touched all who knew him with his joyful presence and boundless enthusiasm for life. Mario was the treasured son of Mario W. Sobalvarro and Maria Erlinda Ayala Portillo, who lovingly nurtured his playful spirit and celebrated the bright, happy child he was. From the very beginning, Mario radiated joy and intelligence, his laughter an infectious melody that filled his home and the hearts of those around him. A boy with an insatiable curiosity, Mario discovered a passion for video games, delighting in the adventures and challenges they presented. His love for gaming was only rivaled by his enthusiasm for food, with a particular fondness for the savory delights of Zaxby's, a treat he relished with gleeful anticipation. Despite his young age, Mario's presence was immense, his playful nature and joyful demeanor leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to encounter him. He possessed a rare and precious happiness that made each day brighter and every moment shared with him, a cherished memory. His intelligence shone brightly, promising a future filled with potential and endless possibilities. Though his time with us was brief, Mario's impact was profound, reminding us of the beauty of happiness and the innocence of childhood. He was greeted in heaven by his grandfathers, Mario Sobalvarro Mena and Transito Asuncion Ayala Gomez, who predeceased him and whose legacies of love and strength continue to inspire and guide his family. A service to honor Mario's beautiful life will be held on April 13, 2026, at 9:30 AM at St. Luke's Catholic Church, located at 10682 Old Nashville Hwy, Smyrna, TN 37167. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the joy he brought into their lives, sharing memories of a boy whose laughter and light will never be forgotten. In this time of sorrow, may we find comfort in knowing that Mario's spirit will forever be a beacon of joy and love, guiding those who loved him through the days ahead. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a children's charity of choice, in Mario's name, to honor his memory and continue his legacy of happiness and love.
