In Loving Memory of Mario"Tony" Thomas Anthony Johnson Today we celebrate the life of Tony Johnson, a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend, who departed from this world on June 13, 2026, at the age of 43. Born on July 16, 1982, in the vibrant city of Detroit, Mario was a beacon of light, whose presence brought warmth and laughter to all who knew him. Tony was the cherished son of Andrea & George Tribune. He is greeted in Heaven by his Grandmother Lillian Johnson, father Cornell Anthony , & cousin Bianca wheeler whose memories he held close to his heart.He is survived by his siblings Andrea Cummings & Savante Johnson, stepbrother Daniel Vaugh, Nephew Jay’Den, Aunts Lenora, Margarite(Fred) Eleanor Margaretta, Lady, and a host of cousins and friends. His legacy continues through his adored children: Saivion, Icis, Rex, and his precious Layla, who were the pride and joy of his life. Tonys love for his children was boundless and unwavering. A proud graduate of Detroit Public High School, Tony was a lifelong learner who valued the power of education. His career as a truck driver spanned over a decade, during which he not only led his team with professionalism and dedication but also served as a mentor, sharing his wisdom and kindness with all those he encountered. His colleagues often spoke of his strong work ethic and his ability to lift spirits with his infectious humor and radiant smile. Tony was a man of remarkable character, known for his quick wit and warm, welcoming smile. He had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, a gift that endeared him to many. His kindness and generosity were touchstones of his character, touching countless lives and leaving his mark on all those fortunate enough to come in contact with him Whether he was sharing a joke to lighten the mood or offering a helping hand, Tonys presence was like sunshine to those around him. As we remember Tony we celebrate a life lived with love, laughter, and purpose, on his terms. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Though he may have left this earthly realm, the echoes of his laughter and the warmth of his love will continue to resonate, a testament to a life beautifully lived.
