Marina Delsi, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on August 8, 2026. Born on April 22, 1945, in Sacaton, Arizona, Marina was the cherished daughter of Maria Louisa Yucupisio. Her life was a testament to love, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community. Marina was predeceased by her mother, Maria Louisa Yucupisio, her brothers Margarito and Santos Yucupisio, and her sister Carmen North. Her legacy continues through her loving children, Christopher Delsi and Lisa Delsi, and her cherished grandchildren, Ysenia Delsi, Kevin Delsi, Jazmine Delsi, and Christopher Miranda. Marina is also survived by her dear siblings, Julia (Jesus) Garza, Ernestina (Cruz) Gonzales, Joe (Laura) Yucupisio, Irene (Bernie) Ahumada, and a special sister-in-law Bernaline Yucupisio, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Marina dedicated her professional life to nurturing young minds as a teacher's aide at the Pascua Yaqui Headstart, where she left a lasting impression on countless children. Later, she extended her warmth and hospitality as a porter at the Casino of the Sun, where her friendly disposition and constant smile illuminated the days of those she encountered. In her private life, Marina was known for her love of cooking and sewing, crafting both meals and garments with love and care. Her admiration for Elvis was a well-known facet of her personality, frequently filling her home with the soothing sounds of his timeless music. Marina's presence was always accompanied by a warm smile, a simple yet profound gesture that brought comfort and joy to those around her. Her ability to find joy in everyday moments and share that joy with others was one of her most cherished qualities. An all-night Virgil will be held on August 27, 2026, at Cristo Rey Church. Burial to follow the next day at Monte Calvario. Marina Delsi's life was a melody of love, service, and joy that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. Her spirit remains an enduring inspiration, reminding us all of the power of a smile and the warmth of a kind heart.
