Marilynn's legacy lives on in the hearts of her surviving family. Her daughter, Delia Flynt, and her husband Joe, and her son, Neil Pickering, and his wife Pam, were the pride and joy of her life. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Lory Hosey and her husband David, Tyler Pickering and his wife Ashley, Joe Lee Flynt, and Paisley Carter and her husband Michael, who she adored and cherished. Her great-grandchildren, Michael Hosey, John Luke Hosey, Lyla Carter, and Kye Carter, brought her boundless joy and laughter. Whether tending to her beloved garden, where she found solace and inspiration, or sharing stories and laughter with her family over Sunday dinners, Marilynn's presence was a cherished gift to all who knew her.
A celebration of Marilynn's life will be held on March 19, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Laurel, located at 4592 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Family and friends will gather to honor a life well-lived and to share stories of the joy and love Marilynn spread throughout her 86 years.
