Marilyn Robinson, born on March 23, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, in Mesquite Hospital, following a brave and determined battle with cancer. Marilyn's journey was marked by resilience, love, and an unwavering spirit, touching the lives of countless people along the way.
Marilyn was the cherished daughter of Virginia and Vernon Litvan, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Larry Robinson, and their beloved son, Ryan Robinson, aged 51. Though Marilyn did not have grandchildren, her nurturing spirit and warmth left an indelible mark on her family and friends.
In her early years, Marilyn showcased her academic prowess and leadership skills at North Miami Senior High School, graduating in 1962. Her involvement in the Y-Teen Club and Honoria Service Club were early indicators of her commitment to community and service. Marilyn went on to study at the University of Florida, where she met the love of her life, Larry. They married on November 28, 1964, in Miami, Florida, embarking on a journey that spanned many decades and countless adventures.
As a steadfast wife, Marilyn supported Larry throughout his distinguished 24-year military career in the United States Air Force. Her dedication extended beyond the home, as she served as a Dental Assistant in the US Army Dental Clinic in Grafenwoehr, Germany, during Larry’s posting at Ramstein Air Force Base from 1976 to 1979. Together, they embraced the challenges and rewards of military life, culminating in Larry's retirement from Hq USAF in Washington, D.C., in 1988.
