Marilyn Joan "Joni" Bahr, born on December 4, 1935, in the serene landscape of Waushara County, Wisconsin, gracefully departed this world on October 12, 2026, at Mercy Medical in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. With her passing, we bid farewell to a beloved matriarch whose life was a testament to faith, love, and resilience. Born to Norman and Mildred Rogers, Joni grew up with the values of integrity and perseverance, which she carried throughout her life. She graduated from Wild Rose High School and pursued further education at the University of Oshkosh, where she studied business for a year. It was during these formative years that Joni laid the foundation for a life rich in faith and family devotion. On June 1, 1954, Joni married the love of her life, Eugene Bahr. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter until Eugene's passing. Their union was blessed with three children, and though their daughter Sara Mayr and daughter-in-law Medina have predeceased her, Joni’s legacy lives on in her sons, Roger and Paul. Roger, alongside his wife Sheri, and their two sons, Alex and Ryan, continue to honor Joni's spirit with their lives. Joni will forever be remembered for her deep and abiding faith in God. It was this faith that guided her through life's challenges and joys, providing comfort and strength to those around her. Her unwavering belief was a beacon of hope and light, not only for her family but for everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. In expressing their gratitude, Joni’s family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the medical staff at Mercy Medical in Oshkosh for the professional and compassionate care they provided during her final days.
