Marilyn Hinyub Cantin, a beloved matriarch and the heart of her family, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, just one day shy of her 89th birthday. Born on August 7, 1937, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Marilyn was the cherished daughter of Theodore and Gladys Hinyub. Throughout her life, Marilyn exemplified love and care, serving as the nurturing cornerstone for her family. Her unwavering dedication and gentle presence held her family together like glue, creating a legacy of warmth and togetherness that will be cherished for generations to come. Marilyn was predeceased by her loving parents, her brothers, her devoted husband, and her dear daughter Lori. Despite these profound losses, she continued to be a pillar of strength and support for her surviving family. Her daughter Kim, along with Marilyn's five grandchildren, 4 grandchildren in laws, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, will forever hold her memory close. They will remember her as a nurturing force who instilled in them the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience. In keeping with Marilyn’s wishes no services will be held. Marilyn Hinyub Cantin leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and nurture her family for generations. Her loving spirit will be missed, but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
