Marilyn C. Wayshville

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn C. Wayshville, who departed this world peacefully on May 31, 2026, at the age of 78, after a long, courageous battle with illness. She was surrounded by the love of her family and the gentle care of compassionate nurses, a testament to a life beautifully lived. Born on October 15, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts, Marilyn was the cherished daughter of Thomas and Mary Begley. She grew up in a family that valued kindness and integrity, traits she carried gracefully throughout her life. Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved brother, Peter Begley, with whom she shared a close bond. Marilyn's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family and her community. She was the devoted wife of Charles Wayshville, with whom she shared 57 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home in Franklin, Massachusetts, where they raised their children and celebrated countless family milestones. A nurturing mother, Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Audra Gaul, and her husband, Terry, as well as her son, Todd Wayshville, and his wife, Jaime. Her legacy of love and compassion lives on through her grandchildren, Ava and Elise Gaul, and Mia and Max Wayshville, who were the light of her life. Marilyn's educational journey began at Westwood High School and continued at Northeastern University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Nursing. Her early career was spent caring for others as a dedicated nurse, a role in which she excelled due to her natural empathy and gentle nature. Later, she transitioned into the business world, where she thrived as an executive assistant, admired by colleagues for her diligence and organizational prowess. Despite her professional achievements, Marilyn's heart was always at home. She was a homebody who found immense joy in decorating her surroundings, creating spaces filled with warmth and charm. An avid reader, she spent many hours lost in the pages of books, exploring worlds beyond her own. Marilyn is survived by her sisters, Kathy Hayes and Carole Romaine, and her brother, Thomas Begley, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Medway Country Manor and the wonderful nurses at Preferred Peaceful Transitions, whose compassionate care provided comfort and dignity in Marilyn's final days. In keeping with Marilyn's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life and legacy. The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support from friends and loved ones during this time of loss. Though Marilyn's physical presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will forever be cherished by all who knew her. Her gentle spirit and enduring strength will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she was dearly loved and will never be forgotten.
