Marie Therese Anglade , a beloved matriarch and a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her cherished family, on the 21st of September, 2026. Born on April 29, 1920, in L’Azile, Haiti, Marie lived a life that was as vibrant and nurturing as the land she came from. She was the treasured daughter of Durichema Anglade and Neila Meyand, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her dear siblings Lotile and Savior Anglade.
Marie’s life was a testament to resilience, warmth, and boundless generosity. With her ever-present warm smile and a knack for sharing a well-timed joke, she had the unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Her love for others was profound, rooted in deep respect and an unwavering spirit of care. Her kindness and generosity have touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know her.
In 1955, Marie married the love of her life, Ninord Lalanne, in Fond des Blanc. Together, they spent 48 wonderful years building a life filled with laughter, love, and joy. Their home was a sanctuary of happiness where they raised eight children, instilling in them the values of love and respect that Marie held so dear.
Marie is survived by her children: Johnny Lalanne, Edith Anglade, Emmanuel Lalanne, Oskar Lalanne, Rosemene Lalanne, and Yvose Lalanne. Her legacy of love continues through her 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the values and warmth she imparted.
