Preceded in death by her parents, siblings Early Smith, Jr., Jonelle Bell, and Ernistine Tisby, as well as her dear children Larry Thompson, Shirley Ann Thompson, and Santresca Sims, Marie's heart remained open, always finding strength in the love of those around her. In 1947, Marie united in marriage with Levy Thompson, a partnership that brought forth a legacy of love and family. Together, they raised their children with warmth and devotion, instilling in them the importance of compassion, hard work, and integrity. Marie is survived by her children, Charlie Thompson, Mary Thompson, and Gregory Thompson, whose lives have been a reflection of her nurturing spirit.
