Marie “Kissie” Dreyer, a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a dear friend to many, departed this life unexpectedly on April 12, 2026. Born on November 26, 1975, in the heart of Louisiana, Marie filled the lives of those around her with warmth, laughter, and an unyielding spirit of kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Marie was the cherished daughter of David Mitcham and the late Kathy Broyles, whose nurturing love and values she carried with her throughout her life. Raised amidst the vibrant culture and scenic beauty of Louisiana, Marie developed a love for her roots, which she lovingly shared with her family and friends. Her mother, Kathy, predeceased her, leaving a legacy of love and strength that Marie embodied every day. She was the beloved wife of John T. Dreyer, with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and companionship. Together, they built a family that was her greatest pride and joy. Marie leaves behind her treasured father, John David Mitcham, and her caring step-mother, Theresa Mitcham, who loved her as their own. Her family was the center of her universe, especially her beloved children—daughters Kristina Toscano and her husband Ricardo, and K’ara Valderromas and her husband Rudy; her son Dylan Holdren and his wife Alexa. Marie was blessed with four grandchildren—Ethan, Carter, Andrea, and Alonso—whom she adored and who brought immense joy to her life. She loved nothing more than to spend time with them, sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories that they will cherish forever. As a sister, Marie was a source of support and affection to her two sisters, Denise Longoria and Yolanda Lewis, and her five brothers, John D. Mitcham Jr., Thomas Johnson, George Lewis, Donald Mitcham, and Brian Lewis. Her siblings were not only her family but also her lifelong friends. Marie's love extended to her nieces, nephews, colleagues, and a wide circle of friends, each of whom felt the warmth of her caring heart. In addition to her immediate family, Marie held a special place in the hearts of many friends and colleagues who were touched by her kindness, humor, and unwavering support. Her ability to bring people together and her infectious smile will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A private funeral service will be held to honor Marie’s life on April 17, 2026. Her family chooses to celebrate her life in an intimate setting, reflecting on the love and joy she brought into their lives. Marie “Kissie” Dreyer’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. Though she has left this world, her spirit will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
