She graduated from Lanier High and pursued higher education at Utica Jr. College, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Social Science. Her passion for social work led her to Alabama State, where she obtained a Bachelor of Social Work and later a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Guidance Counseling. Marie's dedication to her field was further exemplified by her credentials as a Licensed Social Worker and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Throughout her life, Marie touched countless lives with her empathy, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to helping those in need. Her work in social services was not merely a job but a calling that she fulfilled with grace and dedication. Marie's legacy is one of kindness, strength, and an indomitable spirit that inspired all who had the privilege of knowing her.
