It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for her life that we announce the peaceful passing of Marie Cecile Singer, who departed this world on April 4, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on July 16, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, Marie's journey was marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She crossed over with the comfort of her daughter Sharon and son Ron by her side, leaving behind a legacy etched in the hearts of those who knew her. Marie was the cherished daughter of Rose and Robert Dusold, and was predeceased by her beloved parents, her brother Bob, her sisters Bette and Roberta, her devoted husband of 59 years, Gene (Eugene) Singer, and her son, Bob (Robert) Singer. Her life was a testament to love and resilience, surviving by her daughter Sharon and her husband Mike Bradley, her son Ron Singer and his husband Tim Huey, her daughter-in-law Teresa Singer, and her cherished grandchildren Jason and his wife Veronica Fleeman, and Chris and his wife Courtney Bradley. Marie also leaves behind her precious great-grandchildren Stacie Fleeman, and Ben and Colton Bradley. Her sister-in-law Dolly Dexter, her sister Geraldine Reichert, and an extended family of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews also survive her. Marie and Gene were married on June 13, 1952, at St. Cajetan Parish in Chicago—a union that blossomed into a partnership filled with adventure and shared dreams. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June 2002 in Las Vegas, a celebration capped by a memorable trip to Hawaii gifted by their loving children. Marie’s professional journey began in 1963, when she embarked on a career as a bingo agent, later becoming the swing shift bingo manager at Club Bingo on Fremont Street, a vibrant part of downtown Las Vegas. Her 20-year tenure with owner Jackie Gaughn was a testament to her dedication and passion. After Club Bingo closed in 1983, Marie continued to share her expertise and love of bingo at Triple 7, Vacation Village, and Sunset Station Casino until her retirement. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Marie was known far and wide for her love of card games, from Pinochle to Canasta, and for her infectious spirit of play and community. Her early years found her playing pinochle with family, and in later years, she delighted in games of 31 and Tripoly with friends. After retirement, Canasta and Bunco became beloved pastimes shared with her girlfriends. Marie’s weekends were sacred times for family, with Saturdays dedicated to chores and projects, and Sundays reserved for relaxation and joy by the backyard swimming pool, surrounded by family and friends. Her practical jokes, humor, and kindness were legendary, her smile contagious, and her heart endlessly generous. A service to celebrate Marie’s life will be held on May 2, 2026, at Palm Mortuary and Cemetery, located at 7600 S. Eastern Avenue. A viewing will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a service from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and a reception from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated RNs, CNAs, and caregivers who provided such compassionate care to Marie during her final days. Your kindness and dedication were a comfort to us all. Marie Cecile Singer touched many lives with her humor, warmth, and unwavering love. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the cherished memories and laughter she leaves behind.
