Marian Edna Jarrett
January 24, 1931 — March 29, 2026
Marian Edna Jarrett, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend to many, peacefully departed this world on March 29, 2026, at the age of 95, in the loving care of the Evertree Nursing Home in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Born on January 24, 1931, in the quaint town of Kratzerville, Pennsylvania, Marian was the daughter of Hazel and Foster Klingler. From her earliest days, she exhibited a spirit of kindness and resilience that would define her life and inspire those around her.
Marian was a proud graduate of the Selinsgrove Area School District, class of 1949. Shortly after, she embarked on her career at the Westinghouse factory in Sunbury, where she made lasting friendships and demonstrated an admirable work ethic. However, Marian found her true calling as a devoted wife and mother, roles she embraced with grace and dedication. Her marriage to Richard Leon Jarrett on March 29, 1952 was a testament to love and partnership. Together, they built a family filled with warmth and laughter until Richard's passing.
Marian's heart and home were always open to her children: Craig and Nannete of New Columbia, Cherie and Marylou of New Columbia, and Jodi of Lewisburg. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Jason and Jenn of Carlisle, Justin and Elise of Marton, New Jersey, and Jonathon and Sara of Selinsgrove, along with her six great-grandchildren, who each brought her immense joy and pride.
A woman of many talents, Marian enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, and sewing, finding beauty and creativity in the everyday. Her hands were rarely still, whether she was tending to her beloved flowers, canning, or painting ceramics. These hobbies reflected her vibrant personality and her ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Marian's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she served diligently on numerous committees and managed Central Supply with devotion. Her involvement extended to the William Cameron Fire Company Auxiliary, where she contributed to her community with the same dedication and care she showed her family.
Predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Richard, son Timothy, sisters Betty and Irene, brothers Leroy, Richard, and John, and several nieces and nephews, Marian's legacy continues through her surviving family who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.
In honor of Marian's life, a private funeral ceremony will be held for her immediate family. For those who wish to pay tribute, donations may be made to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church at 100 South Third Street, Lewisburg, PA 17837, in her memory.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Buffalo Valley Nursing Home for their exceptional care and to Reverend Katy Moran for her comforting presence. Marian's life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering faith. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
