Mariamma Alexander passed away on September 21, 2026, in Tampa, Florida. Born on May 25, 1935, in the vibrant state of Kerala, India, Mariamma was a beacon of love, humility, and grace to all who knew her. Mariamma was the cherished daughter of the late K E Varghese and Mariyamma Ninan. She was also predeceased by her two beloved brothers, whose memories she kept close to her heart throughout her life. Her surviving family includes her devoted husband, Oommen Alexander, her loving son, Santosh Alexander, her loving daughter, Rachel, her dear brother, KV Varghese, and her treasured grandchildren, Shane, Sheldon, and Olivia. Each of them carries forward her legacy of kindness and generosity. A dedicated and compassionate registered nurse, Mariamma devoted her career to caring for those in need. Her gentle touch and empathetic spirit left an indelible mark on both her patients and colleagues. Beyond her professional life, Mariamma expressed her creativity and warmth through her hobbies. Her kitchen was a haven of culinary delights, where her family gathered to enjoy her exceptional cooking. The soothing strains of Christian music often filled her home, reflecting her deep faith and bringing comfort to those around her. Mariamma's life was a testament to selflessness. She consistently placed her family above all else, sacrificing her own needs to ensure their happiness and well-being. Her generous spirit extended beyond her family, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. A service to honor and celebrate Mariamma's life will be held on October 2, 2026.
