With heavy hearts, we celebrate the beautiful life of Mariah Hager, who peacefully departed this world on April 12, 2026, just two days shy of her 92nd birthday. Born on April 14, 1934, in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Mariah lived a life abundant in love, grace, and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Mariah was the cherished daughter of her devoted parents, whose love and values she carried with her throughout her life. Known for her remarkable culinary skills, she found immense joy in cooking for her family. Her kitchen was not just a place to prepare meals, but the heart of her home, where love was the main ingredient and every dish carried a piece of her soul. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her children and 35 grandchildren, filling every gathering with laughter, wisdom, and warmth.
A woman of deep faith, Mariah attended church every Sunday with her beloved granddaughters, Jasmine and Eashelle. Her unwavering relationship with God guided her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, family, and generosity. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Mariah's life was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of family. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, her life a beacon of hope and compassion. Her dedication to her family and her community was unparalleled, and she was admired for her kindness, selflessness, and the genuine care she showed to everyone around her.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Mariah Hager will be held on May 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, located at 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to join in this celebration of her remarkable life.
