Maria Lourdes P. Eugenio

Maria Lourdes P. Eugenio, affectionately known as "Tita Malou," passed away on July 30, 2026, after a courageous battle against her illness. Born on January 18, 1961, in Pasig City, Malou was the cherished daughter of Marcelino "Nenong" and Apolonia "Onying" Eugenio. She was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and devotion. Malou was preceded in death by her beloved parents, older siblings: Celia, George, and Carlos Eugenio, brothers-in-law Eusebio "Seb" Sison and Romy Ballesteros, and her oldest niece, Cynthia Ballesteros-Marcelo. She is survived by her older sister, Angelina "Lina" Sison, sisters-in-law Pacita "Chit" (George "Boy") Eugenio and Winona "Winnie" (Carlos "Carling") Eugenio, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, and grandnephews, all of whom she adored and treasured dearly. A proud graduate of Pasig Catholic College with a degree in Secretarial Education, Malou dedicated her life to serving others. For many years, she volunteered tirelessly as a Catechist at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Pasig, where her selfless love for the church and her community was evident to everyone around her. Known for her unwavering generosity, Malou was always ready to share whatever she had with her family, especially her beloved nieces, nephews, and their children. Her infectious laughter and penchant for telling jokes, along with her delight in chicken feet and various snacks, made her the heart of every gathering. Malou's life will be celebrated on August 2, 2026, at Loyola Guadalupe. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help pay for Malou's hospital bills, a gesture that would honor her memory and her spirit of giving. Her family takes comfort in their faith and the reassurance of the scripture: "Yes, we do have confidence, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8). Tita Malou's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. Tita Malou, you are loved and will be forever in our hearts.
