Maria Flores, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on September 17, 1940, in the vibrant city of Guadalajara, Mexico, Maria's life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and those around her.
Maria was the cherished mother of Teresa De La Cruz, Luis Flores, Salvador Flores, and Beatriz Flores. Her nurturing spirit and boundless love extended beyond her immediate family, embracing her six grandchildren—Jose Flores, Yesenia Flores, Mario Flores, Alma De La Cruz, Teri De La Cruz, and Miguel De La Cruz. In her later years, Maria's joy was multiplied as she welcomed eight great-grandchildren into her loving arms.
Known for her warmth and generosity, Maria had an extraordinary ability to bring people together. Every Sunday, her home became a haven of laughter and joy as she hosted family gatherings, where she delighted in cooking for her loved ones. These gatherings were more than meals; they were celebrations of life, filled with stories, laughter, and the comforting aroma of Maria's delicious dishes.
Maria's kindness extended to everyone she met. Her compassionate nature led her to help anyone in need, offering a listening ear, a warm meal, or a helping hand. Her legacy of love and service is etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A service to honor and celebrate Maria's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Funeraria Moreno Malecom, located at Del Refugio 28, El Refugio, 47120 Jalostotitlán, Jal., Mexico. Family, friends, and all whose lives Maria touched are invited to join in commemorating her remarkable life and the lasting impact she made on those around her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Maria's memory, as a tribute to her spirit of generosity and care for others.
Maria Flores leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unity. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her to live with kindness and love in their hearts.
