Maria Ferragamo December 22, 1938 - May 31, 2026 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Ferragamo, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this world at her home on May 31, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on December 22, 1938, to Alfred and Lena Ianora, Maria lived a life full of love, laughter, and kindness. Maria was the cherished wife of Michael Ferragamo, with whom she shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. Their journey together began on July 16, 1960, in New York City, and over the years, they created a beautiful family and a home filled with warmth. Maria's love for her family was boundless. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael, her loving daughters, Lee Healey and her husband Tommy, and Michele Kean and her husband Eric. Maria was also the proud grandmother to three grandchildren: Michael, Allison, and Tali, who brought immense joy to her life. Maria was predeceased by her beloved parents, Lena and Alfred Ianora, her brother, Alfred Ianora, and her dear son, Michael Ferragamo. Her enduring spirit and the love she shared with her family are her lasting legacy. A vibrant and spirited woman, Maria was an avid tennis player who cherished the camaraderie of the game. Her kitchen was her haven, where she expressed her love through cooking and baking, always making sure those around her felt special and cherished. Known for her generosity and kindness, Maria had a unique gift for making everyone feel valued and appreciated. Her home was a welcoming place for family and friends, where laughter and love were ever-present. Maria's life will be honored with a service on June 4, 2026, at 9:45 AM at St. Joseph's Church, located at 130 5th Street, Garden City, NY 11530.
