Marguerite L. (Caplette) Bernier, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on November 20, 1932, in Southbridge, Massachusetts, Marguerite was the cherished daughter of Armand and Marie Rose (Valois) Caplette. Her life was a tapestry woven with love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. Marguerite's journey was marked by an enduring love story with her devoted husband, Raymond C. Bernier, with whom she shared countless treasured memories. Together, they made Wellington, Florida their home. Marguerite's heart was also filled with pride and affection for her daughter, Claudia A. Caplette, and her partner, Anthony P Nee, who brought immense joy to her life. Her godson, Paul Remian, along with nephews Michael, David, and Mark. In her professional life, Marguerite found fulfillment at American Optical and Luxtec before enjoying a well-deserved retirement in Florida. Marguerite was a devout member of Notre Dame Church in Southbridge and St. Rita's Church in Wellington, She was also an active member of the Forever Young Club, where she and Raymond celebrated life with many cherished friends. Known for her culinary talents, Marguerite's Raspberry Chocolate Fudge was a testament to her love for cooking. Her zest for life extended to her favorite pastime, weekly Bingo, which brought laughter and camaraderie. Marguerite and Raymond often traveled between Massachusetts and Florida, maintaining close ties with friends and family. Marguerite's legacy is defined by her radiant smile, impeccable style, and the thoughtfulness she extended to all who crossed her path. Her grace and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She is predeceased by her beloved parents, Armand and Marie Rose, and her sisters, Paulene Remian, Doris Schremser, Gertrude LaCasse, and Lucille Mullett. Their memories will forever remain woven into the fabric of her life. In honor of Marguerite's love for animals, the family kindly suggests donations be made to the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League of the Palm Beaches, a cause close to her heart. A private ceremony will be held to honor Marguerite's life, in accordance with her wishes. Her family extends their deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff at Alamar Senior Living and Memory Care Unit for their compassionate care and support.
