Margret was born on August 18, 1924, in the warm embrace of Knoxville, Tennessee, to loving parents Aurther and Mae Davis. Her journey through life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her.
Margret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, affectionately known as "Slim," with whom she shared a beautiful marriage of 62 years. Together, they built a family and a legacy that will endure for generations. She was also preceded in death by her cherished son, Donald Green, her precious daughter, Hazel Green, and her dear grandchildren, Matt Green and Jessica Green, all of Crossville, Tennessee. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who survive her.
Margret is survived by her devoted sister, Louis Potter of Knoxville, Tennessee, who provided companionship and warmth throughout her life. Her legacy continues through her loving children: Pamela Green, Dania Green, and Christopher Green, all residing in Crossville, Tennessee. She leaves behind a bountiful family of 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life and will carry forward her values of love and kindness.
Margret's life was intricately woven into the fabric of her community. As a proud member of the Homestead Church of Christ, she found solace, strength, and fellowship in her faith, attending services every Sunday with unwavering devotion. Her spirit was nurtured by the land she loved; as a well-known cattle farmer, Margret cherished her animals, her thriving garden, and blooming flower beds. Her nurturing hands cultivated not only the earth but also the hearts of those she loved most.
Above all, Margret's greatest joy was her family. She found her purpose and happiness in their laughter and camaraderie, and her home was always filled with warmth, love, and the delicious aromas of her home-cooked meals.
A celebration of Margret's remarkable life will be held on June 2, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Bilbrey Funeral Home, located at 76 East Adams Street, Crossville, Tennessee, 38555. Family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched are invited to gather in memory of a truly extraordinary woman.
