It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of Margo E. Pierce, who left us peacefully on October 14, 2026, at Mansfield Medical Lodge. Born on December 25, 1932, in Frankfurt, Germany, Margo was a gift to the world, touching countless lives with her wisdom, and love for adventure.
Margo was the cherished daughter of Karl and Elsa Plagge, who instilled in her a passion for learning and a deep appreciation for her German heritage. This passion was evident throughout her life as she became an active member of the German community in Arlington, where she resided for over 40 years. Her involvement in social and cultural events left a lasting impact on those who knew her, making her a beloved figure within the community.
A lover of languages and cultures, Margo turned her fluency in German and her love for people into a fulfilling career as a tour director for Dan Dipert Tours. Her work allowed her to share her enthusiasm for geography and customs with others, and she was always eager for her next adventure. Margo's zest for life was infectious, and her tales of travel inspired many to explore the world beyond their doorstep.
At home, Margo found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid bridge player, a pastime that not only challenged her intellect but also brought her closer to friends. Her love for reading and gardening filled her later years.
Margo was predeceased by her beloved daughter Marlene Aguirre, her grandson Micheal Aguirre, and her devoted parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Norman Pierce, her daughter Cherie Moore, and her great-grandson Jesse Ford and his wife Julie, who will continue to carry forward her legacy of love and adventure.
A celebration of Margo's life will be held on October 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Arlington Cemetery 801 S. Mary Street, Arlington Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Margo's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her spirit of generosity and her desire to make the world a better place.
Margo E. Pierce's life was a testament to the beauty of embracing the world with open arms and an open heart. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
