Born on September 28, 1945, in Greenville, Texas, Margie was the cherished daughter of John and Ethel Fuggit and the devoted wife to the late Ronnie Childress. Margie's life was a testament to the values of love, resilience, and devotion. She grew up in a close-knit family with her brother Jim, who predeceased her, along with her dear parents. Her marriage to Ronnie was a beautiful partnership filled with joy and mutual support, a legacy of love that she carried on through her children and grandchildren. Margie is survived by her loving children, Amy and Terry Childress, who were her pride and joy. Her nurturing spirit and kind heart have left an indelible mark on her grandchildren, Dalton Childress and Dillan Krodle, and her great-grandchildren, Ellie and Finn Childress, along with Kayson and Korie Krodle. Margie took immense pleasure in her family, often sharing stories and laughter during their gatherings. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her. Beyond her family, Margie was known for her compassionate nature and her involvement in the community. She was a friend to many, always ready with a helping hand or a comforting word. Her legacy of kindness and her unwavering strength will be remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her. A service to celebrate Margie's life will be held on September 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Hogeye Cemetery in Celeste, Texas. Family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by Margie's presence are invited to join in honoring her memory.
