With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of our beloved Margarita Santiago, who departed this world on April 23, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on January 26, 1963, in the vibrant city of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Margarita graced the lives of all who knew her with her warmth and unwavering love. Her journey ended peacefully at home, embraced by the family she cherished deeply, after a brave battle with illness. Margarita was the treasured daughter of Edwin and Sophia Santiago, who instilled in her the values of compassion and resilience. These qualities shone brightly throughout her life, as she was known for her radiant smile and her boundless generosity. Margarita had a remarkable ability to see the good in everyone, and she never turned her back on anyone in need. Her heart was as vast as her spirit was gentle, leaving an indelible mark on all who crossed her path. She leaves behind a family that adored her beyond measure. Her legacy of love continues through her children, William Martinez, Crystal Santiago, and Jose Luis Santiago. Margarita’s greatest joy was her role as a grandmother, and her eight grandchildren were the light of her life. They will forever hold dear the memories of her laughter, her stories, and the unconditional love she showered upon them. A service to honor and celebrate Margarita’s life will be held on April 26, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Francisco's Funeral Home, located at 349 E 116 Street. Family and friends are invited to join us in paying tribute to a remarkable woman who touched so many lives with her kindness and grace. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the outpouring of love and support from those who have shared in Margarita's journey. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all who have shown their love and appreciation for Margarita. Your presence and support have been a source of comfort and strength during this difficult time. Margarita Santiago will be remembered not only for the love she gave but for the love she inspired in others. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. As we say goodbye, we honor a life well-lived and a soul that brought light to the world. May she rest in eternal peace, forever cherished and never forgotten.
