Margaret Woolbright, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 27, 1969, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, Margaret was the cherished daughter of Johnathan and Ernestine Spivey. Her life was a testament to strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to helping others. Margaret's journey in life was marked by her commitment to education and service. She graduated from Darton College with an Associate of Arts in Social Work and Human Services, consistently achieving recognition on both the Merit’s List and Dean’s List. She furthered her education at Albany State University, earning a Bachelor's of Social Work, and later pursued a Master's of Social Work from Barry University. Her academic achievements laid a foundation for a career dedicated to mental health and social services. Margaret's professional life was a reflection of her nurturing spirit and her desire to make a difference. She served as a mental health therapist for the DCPS and worked as an Assessment/Admissions Evaluator at Wekiva Springs Hospital in Jacksonville. Her roles extended to being a Clinician Therapist, Program Coordinator, and Case Manager at various institutions, including New Horizon CMHC in Miami, FL. Throughout her career, Margaret touched countless lives, providing guidance and support to those in need. Outside of her professional endeavors, Margaret was a devoted family woman. She found immense joy in the presence of her grandchildren, with whom she shared her love of shopping and gardening. Her heart was as vast as her capacity for kindness, always extending a helping hand to those around her. Even in difficult times, Margaret's resilience and infectious smile inspired those who knew her. Margaret is predeceased by her parents, Johnathan and Ernestine Spivey, her sisters Betty Blackmon, Nicole Spivey, and Marshall Spivey, her son Nicholas Woolbright, and her nephews Keneaton Releford and Jamil Ball. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Megan Woolbright, her two treasured grandchildren, and her brothers Johnathan and Jason Spivey. A service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held on October 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Leon A. White Cremations & Funeral Home, 5512 Wesconnett Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32244. In honor of Margaret's generous spirit, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. Margaret Woolbright's life was a beacon of love, resilience, and service.
