In Loving Memory

Margaret Alice Hilliard Kidd
April 17, 1941 — October 5, 2026
Margaret Alice Hilliard Kidd, a loving matriarch and cherished presence in her community, passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on April 17, 1941, in Lucasville, Ohio, Margaret's life was a testament to love, dedication, and resilience.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Walter Ronald Kidd, with whom she celebrated 60 beautiful years of marriage. The couple wed in Portsmouth in 1964, building a life rich with family and warmth. Walter, a retired Tech Sergeant with the Air Force and a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, was her steadfast partner until his passing.
A graduate of Valley High School in Lucasville, class of 1959, Margaret was not only intelligent but also possessed a delightful touch of sass in her later years. Her sharp mind and loving heart were the cornerstones of her role as a devoted mother to her five daughters: Rebecca Marie (Mark) Bolin, Connie Sue (Gregory) Helmuth, Jacqueline Ann (Joseph) Wells, Teresa Lynn Kidd, and Denise Kay Green.
Margaret's life was filled with the joy of family. She was the proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Christina Little, Mark Bolin II, Amanda Keller, Samantha Cassanio, Kimber Wildenhaus, Aubrey Easterling, Tara Kidd, James Green, and Erin Green. Her legacy continues through her 17 great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished dearly.
A woman of the Nazarene faith, Margaret's spiritual beliefs were reflected in her kindness and generosity. She found immense joy in traveling to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in their various activities, a testament to her unwavering support and love for her family. The visits from her loved ones were her greatest delight, and she embraced these moments with open arms and a full heart.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Walter, her son-in-law Terry Green, her grandson Vernon Younker, Jr., and her great-grandson Andrew Keller. She is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor her memory.
Margaret's family invites those who wish to honor her memory to consider donations to a charity of their choice in her name, celebrating her life by continuing her legacy of love and kindness. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched, a beacon of love and warmth that will never fade.
