Margaret Marie Lopez

April 12, 1936 — June 30, 2026

Margaret Marie Lopez, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully departed this world in the comfort of her home on June 30, 2026. Born on April 12, 1936, in El Paco, Texas, Margaret was the beloved daughter of William and Sheryl Gomez. Her gentle presence and loving spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she met throughout her remarkable journey of 90 years. Growing up in a close-knit family, Margaret learned the values of kindness, resilience, and faith from her parents. These values guided her throughout her life, especially after meeting the love of her life, Robert Lopez. They married on December 25, 1957, and celebrated an extraordinary 70 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Together, they built a family that became the heart of her existence. Margaret was a devoted mother to her children Rose (Edward), Debra (Josh), and Robert (Sherry). Her nurturing nature and unwavering support were constant sources of strength and comfort for her family. As a grandmother to six and great-grandmother to eight, Margaret found immense joy in watching her family grow and thrive. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them, leaving a legacy of love that will endure for generations. Her love for crocheting was renowned among those who knew her. She crafted intricate patterns with her nimble fingers, gifting her creations to family and friends as tokens of her affection. Margaret's artistic spirit extended beyond her craftwork; she was an active member of her church choir, where her melodious voice and heartfelt contributions enriched the community she held dear. Margaret is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband Robert; her parents, William and Sheryl; her brothers, Michael and James; and her sisters, Shelly and Veronica. Though their physical presence is deeply missed, their memory continues to inspire and comfort those who remain. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Margaret's memory to a charity of your choice, honoring her enduring spirit of generosity and compassion. Margaret Marie Lopez's life was a testament to love, family, and faith. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her, and her spirit will continue to guide her family with the same love and grace she exemplified throughout her life. Celebration of life will be held on July 8th @ 10:00 am followed by a private cremation for the family.
