Margaret Lucille Engeldinger, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026. Born on January 15, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI, Margaret was the cherished daughter of Marina and Adolph Thompson. Her life was a testament to creativity, love, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Margaret's journey began in Milwaukee, where she grew up alongside her siblings Marina and Tom. She graduated from Regis High School, where her passion for art began to flourish. This passion led her to UW-Eau Claire, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Art. Margaret's talent and love for art translated into a fulfilling career, where she dedicated herself to teaching a variety of art classes. She inspired both children and adults in the mediums of pottery and painting, whether it was acrylic, oil, or watercolor. In addition to her career, Margaret was a proud member of the Chippewa Valley Art League, where she shared her talents and fostered a community of artists. Her enthusiasm for art was matched by her love for gardening, which she pursued with joy and dedication. Her garden was a reflection of her vibrant spirit, filled with a variety of colors and life, much like her own life. On June 12, 1965, Margaret married the love of her life, Eugene Engeldinger. Together, they shared 61 beautiful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Their partnership was a pillar of strength and devotion, raising their daughter Lara in a home filled with warmth and creativity. Margaret was also the proud grandmother of Josephine, who brought immense joy to her life. Margaret's legacy is one of love, resilience, and creativity. She leaves behind her devoted husband Eugene, her loving daughter Lara, her cherished granddaughter Josephine, her dear sister Marina, and her brother Tom and his wife Carol. She is predeceased by her parents, Marina and Adolph Thompson, and her brother Timothy Thompson. Margaret's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this difficult time.
