It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret F. Handley, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who departed this world on September 24, 2026. Margaret was born on May 14, 1944, in the serene landscapes of Scotland, a place that forever held a special corner in her heart. She was the cherished daughter of the late George and Helen Stewart. Margaret's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. She shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Thomas Handley, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a family grounded in love and resilience. Margaret's indomitable spirit and nurturing nature were most evident in her role as a mother to her daughter Helen, married to Bill, and her son Thomas Handley, married to Patty. Margaret was also a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren Derek Handley two granddaughters, Shae Handley and Bayley Jedlicka, and her husband Jacob. Margaret was blessed with two precious great-grandchildren, Olivia Moran and Esme Moran. For 26 years, Margaret served as a school bus driver, a role she embraced with joy and a sense of responsibility. Her dedication to the safety and well-being of the children she transported was unwavering. Later, she brought her meticulous attention to detail to a career in payroll for divers, a job she performed with the same dedication and commitment. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Handley; her parents, George and Helen Stewart; her three brothers, Hugh, Ronald, and George Stewart; and her grandson, Derek Handley. Her legacy, however, continues to flourish through her surviving family members, who will forever cherish her memory and the profound impact she had on their lives. A service to honor and celebrate Margaret's life will be held at Speaks Funeral Home, located at 18020 East 39th St S. Family, friends, and all whose lives Margaret touched are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and deeply loved. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Margaret's spirit of generosity and compassion. Margaret F. Handley will be remembered for her warm smile, her gentle heart, and the kindness she extended to all who knew her. Her memory will forever be a guiding light to her family and friends, as they carry forward the love and values she instilled in them.
