Margaret Connie Neal

July 9, 1948 — October 16, 2026

Margaret Connie Neal, lovingly known as Connie, peacefully entered her Heavenly home on October 16, 2026, surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones. Born on July 9, 1948, in Kingsport, Tennessee, Connie lived a life brimming with love, kindness, and service to others. She was the cherished daughter of the late John and Wanda Neal Jr., both of whom she has now joined in eternal rest. Connie was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience, whose life was a testament to courage and compassion. She graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport, TN, and pursued further education at ETSU before earning a bachelor's degree from Troy State University. The hallmarks of her career were dedication and service, beginning as a bank teller during her years as a military wife. She later served as a loan officer and then Vice President of UT Federal Credit Union. Her career blossomed as she worked for State of Tennessee Bank, Oak Ridge Housing Development, and Knox County CAC, where she was known for her unwavering commitment to helping veterans and economically disadvantaged individuals secure loans and achieve their dreams of homeownership. Her joy for life extended beyond her professional endeavors. She found great pleasure attending University of Georgia events with her devoted companion, Harold Black, of over 30 years. Together, they shared countless adventures, from riding motorcycles, fishing, traveling, camping and relaxing at the Black Farm in Gray, GA. Her family was the heartbeat of her world. Connie is survived by her companion, Harold Black; daughter, Virginia Huff and her father Richard Roller; a son-in-law, Adam Huff; and two cherished grandchildren, Rachel and Matthew Huff, who brought her immense joy. Her love and devotion extended to her lifelong companion, Harold Black, whose partnership brought her happiness and strength. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Caris Hospice of Lenoir City for the compassionate care they provided Connie in her final days. Special thanks are also extended to the nurses, practitioners, and staff at Morning Pointe and the Lantern Memory Care facilities in Lenoir City for their unwavering dedication and love. A celebration of Connie's life will be held on October 27, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Click Funeral Home, located at 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City, TN 37771. Burial services will be held on Oct 28, 2026, at 11 am, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kingpost, TN. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering a life well-lived, surrounded by love and laughter. In lieu of flowers, Connie's family kindly requests donations be made to Knox Area Rescue Ministries in Knoxville, TN, in her honor, continuing her legacy of service and compassion. Connie's memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate to know her, and her spirit of kindness and strength will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
