In Loving Memory

Margaret Ann Ryan
November 30, 1959 — October 31, 2026
Margaret Ann Ryan, a beloved sister, cherished friend, and devoted animal advocate, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2026. Born on November 30, 1959, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Margaret was a beacon of kindness and compassion throughout her life. She was the cherished daughter of Ina and Bill Ryan, who preceded her in death, along with her brother, Mark W. Ryan.
Margaret's heart was as expansive as the Kentucky skies under which she was raised. Her love for animals was a testament to her gentle spirit and unwavering empathy. To many, she was not only a friend but a guardian angel in human form, always ready to offer a helping hand or a comforting word.
She is survived by her siblings, Ed Medley, Mary Strong, Mike Ryan, and Pat Ryan, who will forever hold her memory close in their hearts. Margaret's life was also enriched by her dear friend, Karen Roberts, with whom she shared countless memories and adventures.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Baptist Health, Elizabethtown, for the compassionate care they provided during Margaret's final days. A special heartfelt thanks is also sent to Judy Prather Edwards Dillard, affectionately known as "Sister," for the countless hours spent by Margaret's side, offering love and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local animal shelter, a cause close to Margaret's heart, to honor her enduring love for animals and her legacy of kindness.
Margaret Ann Ryan will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. While she has left this earthly realm, her spirit and the love she shared will continue to inspire and comfort those she left behind.
