MARGARET ANN LOGAN DUNCAN

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Ann Logan Duncan, who gained her wings on March 25, 2026. Margaret was born on November 1, 1940, in York, South Carolina, to the late Eddie and Maggie Logan. She was 85 years old.
Margaret was a beacon of love and kindness, a woman whose warmth touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Eddie and Maggie Logan, as well as her cherished brother, Howard Logan. Her legacy of love and care lives on through her devoted husband of 56 years, Amos Duncan, whom she married on March 21, 1970, in Thomasville, NC. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
Margaret was the proud and loving mother of two sons, Christopher (Chrystal) Duncan and Jeremiah (Elisa) Duncan. She was also blessed with 13 grandchildren—Christopher (Alex), Jared, Cameron, Camil, Brittany, Kimberly, Logan, Christian, Dasia, Destiny, Catherine, Bailey, and Caden—as well as 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life. Her nurturing spirit and generous heart were the foundation of her family's enduring bond.
She is survived by her dear sister, Minnie Ashworth, and four sister-in-laws: Francis Leake, Edna Gorden, Emma Smith, and Zona Logan. Additionally, Margaret leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and an extended family that includes her cherished church family and many friends.
Growing up in York, Margaret graduated from Church Street School in 1960. She dedicated her professional career to Thomasville Furniture Industries until she became disabled in 1996. Her work ethic and dedication were admired by all who worked with her.
Margaret was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she first joined as a little girl alongside her parents. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she continued her devotion there with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her church family was dear to her heart, and she was known for her unwavering support and involvement in church activities.
In her leisure time, Margaret found joy in simple pleasures. She had a deep love for fishing, and she delighted in the process of cleaning and cooking her catch. Picking and shelling pecans was another cherished pastime. Above all, Margaret treasured her family time, creating lasting memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a very special lady who loved everyone, making all feel welcome and accepted them for who they are. Her generous spirit knew no bounds, and she always sought to care for others.
A celebration of Margaret's life will be held on April 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, located at 106 Smith St, Thomasville, NC 27360. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor a remarkable woman who enriched the lives of so many.
Margaret Ann Logan Duncan leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love she so freely gave in life.
