It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we announce the passing of Marcus Robert A Childers, a cherished son, loving father, beloved brother, and treasured friend, who departed this life on April 20, 2026, at the age of 35. Born on October 19, 1990, in Cleveland County, Marcus touched the hearts of many with his vibrant spirit and adventurous soul.
Marcus was the beloved son of Marcus Howard and Regina C Love. He was preceded in death by his dear grandmother, Dorothy E Whitmire, whose love and wisdom shaped his early years. Left to cherish his memory are his three wonderful children, Trinity Childers, Marcus Childers Jr of North Carolina, and Kryie Childers of Florida, who were his pride and joy. Marcus is also survived by his devoted brothers, Daniel Childers and Preston Love, and his loving sister, Rashida Howard. His family extends far and wide, including numerous siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Marcus was a gypsy soul, whose life was defined by his boundless energy and insatiable curiosity. Even when his adventures seemed bewildering to others, they were the source of his deepest joy and fulfillment. Marcus's zest for life was infectious; he was a beacon of light, laughter, and love to those around him. He found beauty and meaning in the unexplored paths and embraced the craziness that was his sanity with open arms. His wanderlust spirit inspired many to see the world through a lens of wonder and possibility, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and heartfelt stories.
In the face of adversity, Marcus's resilience and courage were unmatched. He lived life on his own terms, teaching us all the value of authenticity and the importance of following one's own path. Marcus's presence on this earth was a gift, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Marcus is survived by his loving grandparents, Dan Childers and Shirley Howard of North Carolina, whose guidance and support throughout his life were invaluable. His family and friends will forever remember his infectious smile, his generous heart, and the warmth he brought into every room.
A service to celebrate and honor the life of Marcus Robert A Childers will be held on May 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather together to share in the memories and stories that defined Marcus's extraordinary journey. Though Marcus's life was far too short, the impact he leaves behind is immeasurable.
