His heart of gold touched many, and his protective nature ensured that those he loved felt safe and cherished.
He was the beloved husband of Marikisha L. Sims, with whom he built a life filled with laughter, unwavering support, and deep affection. Together, they raised their son, Marcus B. Sims Jr., who was the pride and joy of Marcus's life. As a devoted father, Marcus ensured that every moment spent together was filled with love and meaningful memories.
Marcus is survived by his loving mother, Bettina Sims, and his siblings: Ashley Sims of Tifton, GA; Danyelle Sims of Denver, CO; Gabrielle Sims of Jackson, AL; Britney Sims of Valdosta, GA; and Nikia Sims of Tifton, GA. He also leaves behind a special niece, Malta, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends who were touched by his generosity and spirit.

Whether spending time with loved ones, sharing laughs, or simply being there when someone needed him, Marcus lived a life full of love and meaning. He leaves behind cherished memories with his family and friends that will live on forever. Though he is no longer with us physically, his spirit will continue to guide and comfort those who loved him. Marcus will be deeply missed and forever loved.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember Marcus not in the sadness of his departure but in the beautiful moments we shared with him, the love he gave so freely, and the legacy he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
