Marcietta Ratkovich

April 12, 1955 — May 23, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Marcietta Ratkovich, who left this world peacefully on May 23, 2026, at the Rucki Hospice Center in Zephyrhills, Florida. Born on April 12, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Marcietta lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of family. Marcietta was the cherished daughter of the late Marko Sr. and Sueann Ratkovich, and she was warmly welcomed into their loving arms beyond this world, joining her parents, her beloved son Shawn Ratkovich, and her dear brothers, Marko Jr. and Matthew Ratkovich. Her life was marked by enduring love and devotion to family, a legacy she leaves to her surviving sister, Susan (John) Minehart, who was not only a sibling but also a treasured friend. Marcietta was a proud alumna of Western Beaver High School, and her quest for knowledge took her to Gannon University, where she earned an associate degree in Criminal Justice. Her career in the food industry as a cook was a testament to her dedication and love for nurturing others, often serving meals with a side of her infectious laughter and warmth. Her heart found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Marcietta adored spending time with family and friends, relishing every moment spent at the beach or swimming in the sunlit waters of Florida, which she called home. Her laughter, often sparked by her great sense of humor, will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Marcietta's genuine kindness and compassion were evident in the countless ways she showed love—through a comforting hug, a thoughtful message, or simply being a listening ear. She had a unique ability to make those around her feel valued and cherished, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. Her legacy continues through her cherished family: her devoted sister Susan and brother-in-law John Minehart; her nieces Chelsea (Kevin) Kester and Mallory (Bobby) Vranjes, who brought her immense joy; and her great-nephews and niece, Jace, Avery, and Wyatt, who were the light of her life. Marcietta also leaves behind many other cousins who will forever hold her memory dear. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Rucki Hospice Center for their exceptional care and comfort during Marcietta's final days. We are also deeply thankful to all the family and friends who have reached out, offering love and support during this difficult time. As we bid farewell to Marcietta, we hold onto the memories she gifted us, the laughter she shared, and the love that will forever echo in our hearts. May she rest in peace, embraced by the light and love she so generously shared with the world.
