With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Marcelle Williams, who left us peacefully at home on April 19, 2026. Born on September 24, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York, Marcelle's time with us was sadly brief, yet his impact on those who knew him was profound and lasting. Marcelle was the cherished son of Rebecca Williams and Abdullah Q Shabazz. He is survived by his sister Tanya Williams, daughter's Shameeka and Sabreen Delain, son Rykeem Robinson, daughter-in-law Crystal Braxton, Uncle's Donald and Steven Peterson, seven grandchildren, two great-grand children, two nephews, one niece and a host of family and friends. Marcelle was a light of joy and warmth. His parents, who predeceased him, have surely embraced him with open arms, alongside his brother, also Rashid Williams, in a loving reunion beyond this world. Marcelle's journey began in the bustling city of Brooklyn, where he was embraced by a community that would come to know his kindness and humor. He attended Beach Channel, where he made many friends and left a mark with his gentle spirit and his ability to bring laughter to any room. Even as a young child, Marcelle exhibited a generosity of heart that was evident to all who crossed his path. Throughout his life, Marcelle undertook various jobs, each one a testament to his work ethic and his determination to contribute positively to the world around him. Marcelle's true legacy lies in the personal connections he forged and the kindness he bestowed upon others. He was the friend you could count on, the confidant who listened without judgment, and the soul who would offer help without hesitation. Marcelle's humor was infectious; his laughter could light up the darkest of rooms and uplift the heaviest of hearts. His kindness was a beacon of hope and comfort, a reminder that even in the briefest of lives, one can make a difference through simple acts of love and compassion. As we bid farewell to Marcelle, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear. His life, though short, was a reminder of the beauty of kindness and the power of a loving heart. A private ceremony will be held to honor Marcelle's life, in accordance with his family's wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that acts of kindness be done in Marcelle's memory, spreading the joy and warmth that he so effortlessly shared with the world. Marcelle will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire us. Rest in peace, dear Marcelle, knowing that you were loved beyond measure and will be remembered always.
