It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marcelle Williams, a beloved father, brother, and friend, on April 19, 2026, at the age of 63. Marcelle left this world peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family, a fitting tribute to a life lived with compassion and joy. Born in the bustling borough of Brooklyn, New York, on September 24, 1962, Marcelle was the cherished son of the late Rebecca Williams and Abdullah Q. Shabazz. He grew up alongside his siblings, learning from an early age the values of kindness and humor, which he carried with him throughout his life. Marcelle was predeceased by his parents and his dear brother, Rashid J. Williams, whose memories he held close to his heart. Marcelle's life was a tapestry woven with love and devotion to his family. He is survived by his children, Shameeka (also known as Habibah), Sabreen Delain, and Rykeem Robinson, who were his greatest pride and joy. His sister, Tanya Williams, and brother, Sean Brown, along with his uncles, Donald and Steven Peterson, will forever cherish the laughter and cherished moments they shared with him. A devoted grandfather to seven adoring grandchildren and two precious great-grandchildren, Marcelle found immense joy in spending time with his family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. His smile, humor, and kindness were constants that brightened the lives of all who knew him. Marcelle attended Beach Channel High School, where he laid the foundation for a life of varied experiences and learning. Throughout his career, he held various jobs, each role filled with dedication and the warmth of his character. His work was not just about the tasks at hand but about the people he met and the connections he forged. Outside of work, Marcelle's true passion was the time spent with family. Whether it was a simple gathering or a festive celebration, his presence was a gift that enriched the lives of those around him. His laughter was infectious, his stories captivating, and his love unconditional. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, honoring his desire for an intimate farewell. As we gather in spirit to remember Marcelle, we hold close the family’s heartfelt message: "Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day." In this spirit, Marcelle will remain in our hearts, an enduring presence that continues to guide and inspire.
