In Loving Memory

Phillip "Marc" Williams
March 4, 1955 — October 5, 2026
Marc Williams, a cherished husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on October 5, 2026, after bravely battling complications from COPD and rheumatoid arthritis. He was born on March 4, 1955, in Malad, Idaho, to Eugene and Lorraine Williams, who predeceased him, along with his brother Tom and his beloved niece Andrea.
Marc's journey was marked by love, laughter, and a deep sense of loyalty and adventure. He was a proud graduate of Ben Lomond High. He joined the military after graduation serving as a medic, a role that shaped his compassionate nature.
After his military service, Marc found a calling and passion in training horses, where his gentle spirit and patience made him a natural. His heart was open to many at-risk children and young adults who found guidance and friendship in him. Marc's hands were equally skilled in construction work, where he built not just structures, but lifelong friendships.
In August of 2011, Marc married the love of his life, Celia Whitmore, with whom he shared a beautiful journey that began in 2002. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and many adopted children (animals).
Marc had a zest for life that was reflected in his many hobbies. He found peace in gardening and joy in cooking, often sharing meals and stories with friends and family. He loved rock and roll and jazz, and was a voracious reader. Marc was known as "the neighbor" helping others with anything they needed. He was always ready with a wild, usually true story that brought smiles and laughter to all who heard it. Marc believed in Gnomes and Fairies and their mystical magical ways.
He is survived by his loving wife Celia, his brothers Gary (Patti) and Stacey (Morna), his sisters Doreen (Wayne, deceased), Annette (Tom), and his sister-in-law Val. Marc leaves behind many nieces and nephews, each of whom he loved dearly, and a wealth of friends who will miss his kindness and unique perspective on life.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Gunnison Valley Hospice for their compassionate care during Marc's final days. In lieu of flowers please share a memory and much laughter.
As Marc embarks on this new adventure, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is at peace and pain free. Marc's legacy of love and laughter will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
