Born on June 8, 1970, in Tampa, Marc's life was a testament to dedication, love, and quiet strength. Marc was the cherished son of Fran Franklin and Clarence Cason. From an early age, he exhibited an adventurous spirit and a deep sense of duty that would guide him throughout his life. After graduating high school, Marc answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. His 28-year career as a Gunner’s Mate was marked by dedication and honor, and he retired in 2016, having touched the lives of many fellow service members with his steadfast loyalty and leadership. In 1999, Marc married the love of his life, Gina Cason. Their union was one filled with laughter, love, and a shared journey that spanned over two decades. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Ashia, Bianca, and Sean, each of whom carries forward Marc's legacy of strength and kindness. Marc's pride in his family was immeasurable, and the moments he spent with them were the most treasured of his life. Marc's passions extended beyond his family and service. He was a devoted motorcycle enthusiast and a firearms collector, pursuits that allowed him to embrace the camaraderie and thrill of shared interests. His friends and fellow hobbyists knew him as a man of few words but abundant generosity, always ready to lend a hand or share his knowledge. Perhaps Marc's greatest joy in recent years was his grandson, Jace Johnson. As a grandfather, Marc delighted in watching Jace grow and learn, finding immense happiness in their time together.
