Born on March 6, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, Marc exemplified a life of dedication, love, and resilience.
Marc was the cherished son of Terri and Marc Candler Sr., who instilled in him strong family values and an unwavering work ethic. He was preceded in death by his parents, his great nephew John, his brother Michael, and his granddaughter Lisa. Their memories were precious to him, and his heart was always full of the love they shared.
For over three decades, Marc devoted himself to serving his community as a postal worker, a career through which he touched many lives with his kindness and unwavering dedication. He took immense pride in his work and was known as a reliable and friendly presence to all who knew him.
In 1989, Marc married the love of his life, Kelly, in a beautiful ceremony in Dallas, Texas. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. As devoted parents, they raised their children—Shila, Olivia, Annahmarie, and David—in the vibrant city of Dallas. Marc was a pillar of strength and an endless source of wisdom and support for his family. His legacy will live on through his three grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
Marc is survived by his beloved wife Kelly, his children, and a host of cousins and loved ones who will forever hold his memory dear. He was a man of great integrity and warmth, whose life was a testament to the power of love and perseverance.
A memorial service to honor Marc's life will be held at 9:00 a.m. on September 19, 2026, at West End Church, located at 802 Shepherd Dr, Houston, TX. Family, friends, and all those who were touched by Marc’s life are invited to attend and celebrate the remarkable person he was.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to Marc’s generous spirit and his dedication to helping others.
