Willam (Tony) Grimm,Sr
July 30, 1973 — January 24, 2026
Man Grimm, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2026, during a severe ice storm that swept through Nashville, Tennessee. Born on July 30, 1973, in Cleveland, Ohio, Man brought warmth and joy to everyone he met, leaving an indelible mark on his loved ones. He was 52 years old.
Man was the beloved son of Patricia Grimm Malloy and Jerry Maloy. Though he is now reunited with his mother, Patricia, who predeceased him, his memory lives on in the hearts of those who survive him. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Will Grimm Jr., of Nashville, Tennessee; his sisters, Tina Grimm Stortz of Dewitt, Arkansas, and Tonya Self Sweatt and her husband Jerry of Turkey Scratch, Arkansas; his two grandsons; and his nephew, Jonathan Stortz, and his wife Deborah of Searcy, Arkansas, as well as his niece, Joanna Downing, and her husband Nathan of Dewitt, Arkansas. He also leaves behind his great-nephew Jeremiah and great-niece Piper Stortz. In addition to his family, Man is fondly remembered by his many friends and his cherished work crew at Waste Management Nashville, TN West, whom he considered his extended family.
Man spent much of his early life in West Helena, Arkansas, attending school there until the 11th grade. His career began alongside his father, working in the family heating and air conditioning and sheet metal shop. In his early twenties, Man moved to Nashville, where he embraced his passion for construction and traveling. Ultimately, he decided to establish roots in Nashville, where he found fulfillment and camaraderie working for Waste Management.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Man was a man of many interests. He was a fervent sports enthusiast, with a particular love for football, especially the Razorbacks and his beloved Vanderbilt team. He also followed NASCAR with great enthusiasm. Man's vibrant personality was characterized by his warm smile and humor, always quick with a joke and never afraid to speak his mind. Those who knew him appreciated his straightforward nature and knew exactly where they stood with him.
Though Man's marriage to Brandi Brown ended in divorce, it brought him his greatest joy, his son Will Grimm Jr., with whom he shared a deep and abiding bond. Man's legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will remain a guiding light for his family and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Man's life will be held on April 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Trenton/Turner Cemetery. As we gather to honor his memory, we will remember Man Grimm as a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a hardworking individual who touched the lives of many along the way.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Man's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his spirit of generosity and kindness.
