It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mama Wade, who departed from this world on June 21, 2026, at the age of 64. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on September 5, 1961, in the nurturing embrace of Salinas, California, Mama's life was a tapestry of love, warmth, and dedication to those she held dear. Mama was the beloved daughter of the late Larry M. Rabon Sr. and Edna Louise Williamson. She was predeceased by her cherished siblings, Peanut, Connie, and Tammy, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms into the next life. Despite the loss, she continued to be a pillar of strength and love for those she left behind. Mama shared an extraordinary life with her devoted husband of 40 years, John Phillip Wade. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and companionship, a partnership that weathered life's storms and celebrated its joys with unwavering support and affection. Together, they created a family filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. She is survived by her loving daughter, Brandie Wade, and her stepdaughter, Christy Martin, who she embraced as her own. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Phillip Clay Martin, Joshua Cody Martin, Jacob Cole Martin, Madison Lynne Worley, and John Wyatt Wade, as well as her great-grandchild, Coleman Wade Martin, who will grow up hearing stories of Mama's love and wisdom. Mama was a cherished sister to Deborah Vincent, Kathy Nunn, Sharon Gooding, and Johnny Rabon, forming bonds that transcended the trials of life. Her family extended to include her loving cat, Tommy Wade, who was a constant source of comfort and joy. Mama's heart was as boundless as her culinary talents. A true artist in the kitchen, her passion for cooking was a gift she shared generously. Whether crafting a simple scrambled egg sandwich or preparing a feast fit for a king, every meal was infused with her love and care. Her kitchen was a haven where family and friends gathered, nourished by her culinary creations and the warmth of her presence. Known for her unique soul and cool demeanor, Mama was a beacon of authenticity. Her spirit was vibrant and her compassion boundless, qualities that endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many. As we bid farewell to our dear Mama, we find solace in the memories and love she leaves behind. Her life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the simple joys of life. We carry her spirit forward in our hearts, forever grateful for the time we shared. A celebration of Mama's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the legacy of love she leaves behind. Until then, may her soul rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
