July 8, 1946 — July 4, 2025

July 8, 1946 – July 4, 2025 It is with the deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Makram Kamel Habil, a treasured husband, father, brother and friend, who peacefully departed in his home on July 4, 2025, just days before his 79th birthday. He was born in the city of Cairo, Egypt on July 8, 1946. Makram was the beloved son of Kamel and Mariam Habil. He is predeceased by his dear sister Fauziah and son, Mena Habil, whose memories will be cherished through the test of time. He leaves behind his devoted wife of over 50 years, Vivian Habil. Together they built a family life centered on Faith, integrity and love. Their partnership began, at a time Vivian was considering a monastic life. Then she met the honorable and charismatic, Makram Habil. He is also survived by his loving daughters, Esther and Christine Habil, who will carry forward his principles and legacy. The love and wisdom he imparted to his family will surely live on through them. Educated in Cairo, Makram earned a BS in Chemistry, a foundation that led to a fulfilling career as a toxicologist at the state hospital in Rhode Island. His work was a source of great pride, and he dedicated himself to his role, always choosing the best interest of his family above his own. Beyond his primary career, Makram was a licensed real estate agent and lead contractor, managing properties in Providence, RI, and later, building a lasting legacy in Lehigh Acres, FL. Makram was a simple man with a profound love for collecting fountain and feather pens. Despite his busy schedule, he also found joy in spearheading church events, including the annual Bay Queen cruise, and cherished visits to places of natural beauty and spiritual retreat, such as Colt State Park and Goddard Park. He was well known for his cheerful disposition and commitment to making others happy. A man of honor and integrity is how he will be remembered. A funeral service celebrating Makram's life will be held on his birthdate, July 8, 2025, 9:00 AM at St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Church of Fort Myers. We shall gather to honor his memory: "Rest in Peace, dear father. The fruits of your labor will live on." His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
