With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Makeleta Makiefiefialili Tu’uaho Wolfgramm on July 30, 2026. Born on August 7, 1950, in the serene island of Vava’u, Tonga, Makeleta was a shining beacon of love, wisdom, and strength to all who knew her. A beloved daughter of Ahofiko and Filimonefili Seteni-Moa, Makeleta was the youngest of a large family, enriched by the love and camaraderie of her siblings. She cherished her time with her late siblings: Ta’uofa, Latufuipeka, Lavenita, Leka-Aho-Fonua, Rev. Piniseletu Paula Fakahiva, Elisipa, and Fkeeafi, as well as her surviving sisters, Aholelei, Lakalaka, Leuleu, and Hihifo. These relationships laid the foundation for a life steeped in family bonds and devotion. On December 16, 1983, in Carson, California, Makeleta married the love of her life, Fonua Wolfgramm. Together, they built a nurturing home filled with laughter, faith, and unwavering support. Their union was blessed with seven wonderful children: Jonathon, Mailinu, Lolohea, Tevita, Lorelei, Tu’ilikiono, and Naulea, each of whom carries forward Makeleta's legacy of kindness and resilience. Makeleta's family was her pride and joy, a sentiment shared by her 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who were the lights of her life. Her wisdom and warmth touched each generation, ensuring that her legacy will be cherished for years to come. Her life was marked by a deep commitment to her community and faith, and she was often seen as a guiding light and a source of comfort to those around her. Her dedication to helping others extended beyond her immediate circle, finding expression in her support for causes she held dear. In her passing, Makeleta reunites with her beloved parents and siblings, leaving behind a family and countless friends who will forever cherish her memory. Her life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and unwavering faith. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Makeleta's honor to the American Heart Association, reflecting her commitment to heart health and well-being. The family extends their deepest gratitude for the love and support they have received during this time.
